SC-SCC-SCN - chucks for synchro tapping

Modern CNC machines with their synchronisation of feed and rotational speeds enable threads to be machined without requiring a compensating chuck. In practice, however, it has been shown that synchronisation errors occur, especially during the necessary rotational direction change of the machine spindle.

When using rigidly clamped taps, this error can lead to increased flank pressure which in turn reduces the operating life of the tap and the quality of the thread.

Bilz synchro chucks compensate this synchronisation error with their sophisticated technology. They are suitable for both standard and custom with best thread quality and tap life.

The most recent development in synchronous tapping is the clamping of carbide taps in specially designed ThermoGrip® shrinking adaptors. The minimal axial movement with double-ended travelstop cushioning compensates synchronisation errors. Precise cutting start by the tap is guaranteed, even under difficult conditions.
